I’ve always been fascinated by old houses, so it’s not surprising that my favorite HGTV program is Home Town.  Erin and Ben Napier remodel older homes which helps to revitalize their home town of Laurel, Mississippi.

The Napiers take time to know the new owners and use their tastes and lifestyles in the updates.   The houses take on a modern feel but retain their historical character.  Make Something Good Today: a Memoir is the story of Erin and Ben—from their childhoods, to how they met and fell in love, to how they became TV personalities.

“Make something good today” is also the philosophy they live by.  It’s good advice for us all.

If you enjoy popular biographies or HGTV programs, I think you will enjoy reading this book.
